Mystique - My heroine!

Two days ago I did a little transformation into my heroine - Raven Darkhölme aka Mystique.

Mystique is my favorite heroine since my childhood. Paradox is that I didn't meet her in the comic books for the first time. But it was a PS1 game "X-Men: Mutant Academy 2". I remember when dad brought the game home when I was like eight years old or something like that.
In the beginning you have to choose a mutant and I choose Mystique. I just liked the appearance, she was blue and simply different. And so badass in the game! Then I met her in the cartoon series and just like I said - I fell in love with the character.

And then X-Men movies start to come out. Just like Wolverine later says, she was a cold murderous bitch. But "X-Men: First class" has proved that Raven never was born that way. She was a little, lost girl suffering from starving until Charles met her. It was even by accident. Little Raven was stealing the food from the kitchen of the house where little Charles used to live.
And so he raised her. Mystique is one of the deepest characters to me. Very smart, brave and so strong. Very inspiring character.

"Charles, where are you?"

But not every person understands her.
Today I was listening to "X-Men: Days of the Future Past" soundtrack on youtube and noticed a comment about her persona under the "How Was She?" composition.
The boy was talking that she is traitor because she left Charles paralysed on the beach and left with a man that is responsible for the injury. His decision made me kinda angry so naturally, I'm speaking out now:

Raven left Charles just because it was the way how to fight the "higher evil". Yes, she left Charles without the ability of move his legs back on the beach, not saying she hasn't done it. But during the Cold War, there were huge armies wanting to erase you from the planet with the missiles, how would YOU all act? You would get these people to continue that genocide? Just because you're different? We all knew, if Raven wasn't leaving with Erik, Trask would finish the Sentinel project and kill every single mutant in the whole world. Raven just revealed his project and she was fighting for every mutant not to hide - but be proud of their real existence. Be tolerated and accepted by government. "Mutant and proud!"

For some reason I can't stand hateful comments towards Mystique. It's maybe because I'm taking her like a huge part of me. Because she was protecting the others! Mystique wasn't selfish at all. The murders that she's ever commited were very reasonable - she was killing the bad people.
